J. Michael Flynn, 78 , of St. Joseph, MO, passed away on November 20, 2025. Michael was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on December 2, 1946 to Harold Dixon Flynn, Sr. and Francis Claire (Clendening) Flynn.
He graduated from East Jefferson High School and attended North East State University. Michael received a Bachelor's Degree from Tulane University. He served in the US Army from December 1969 to February 1972. He was self employed and was in charge of the management and sales for an apparel manufacturer.
Michael married Joanne Dean Flynn in Dallas, Texas on December 30, 1986 and she survives. Also surviving is brother, Harold Dixon Flynn, Jr.; nieces, Brooke Peters and Shelly Flynn Miller; nephews, Andrew Flynn and Trey Flynn.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Karen Walker Karns and niece Carrie Lee Flynn; mother-in-law Jimmie Dean; brothers-in-law, Bill Walker, and Rodney Karns.
Michael was a member of Bethany Presbyterian, Dallas, Texas. He enjoyed playing the piano.
Michael has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph, MO. He will be inurned at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas at a later date.
