St. Joseph Health Department reports two more COVID-related deaths Wednesday

St. Joseph health officials report two new COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday - a man in his 80s and woman in her 90s. Officials also report 68 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total in Buchanan County to 8,733. 

Mosaic Life Care reports a drop in COVID-19 hospitalizations even as St. Joseph health officials report a relatively low number of new coronavirus cases.

Mosaic reports its is treating a total of 73 COVID-19 patients in its system as of Wednesday morning with 69 being treated at the St. Joseph Hospital. On Tuesday, Mosaic reported 83 COVID-19 patients at St. Joseph. Mosaic reports two COVID-19 patients in Maryville with two in Albany.

Mosaic has tested nearly 62,000 area residents with 8,150 testing positive. Mosaic is awaiting the results from 63 tests.

Andrew County reports another coronavirus-related death, bringing its total to 17. Andrew County has recorded 1,753 total cases. Clinton County reports 153 new cases (1,558 total) and one new death Wednesday for a total of 61.

Doniphan County, KS reports 16 new cases Wednesday for a total of 762. Atchison County, KS saw 19 new cases for a total of 1,304. Brown County, KS has seen 1,086 cases since the pandemic began.

On Wednesday, Missouri reported 2,862 new cases (408,443 total) and 33 new deaths (5,858 total). Kansas saw an increase of 5,501 cases (236,818 total) and 130 deaths (3,027 total).
