Charles D. Hale, 91, Savannah, Mo, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cameron, Mo.

He was born on November 26, 1932 in Maryville, Mo, to the late Charlie K. and Goldie M. (Cook) Hale.

He served his country in The U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War era.Charles married Maryann L. Perry on November 24, 1958. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2017.

Mr. Hale was a graduate of Lafayette High School and spent his career as a Teamsters Union truck driver for Crouch Brothers and Beaufort Trucking Companies.&nbsp;

Survivors include their children, Sandy Foote (Jerry), Danny Summers (Sharon), Tanya Wolf, Shawn Hale several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his son; Richard D. and his wife Connie Summers and sisters: Dora, Beaula and Joyce and son-in-law Bob Wolf.Per his wishes,&nbsp;

Mr. Hale has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. No visitation or services are scheduled.Cards can be sent to the Funeral Home at 307 South 6th Street, Savannah, MO 64485.
