The body found in a water-filled ditch near the scene of a quadruple fatality accident has been identified as that of 26-year-old Cody Dustin Grace, reported missing earlier this week.
The cause of death has yet to be determined. It is not known how long the body had been there.
St. Joseph police say officers responded to the 2900 block of Pear Street Wednesday evening after a passerby discovered the body.
A car wreck April 9th killed Amy Morse of St. Joseph and her three children. Obituaries for two of the children indicated Grace was their father. About six feet of water filled the ditch on the night of the fatal wreck, but has receded since.
Police issued a missing person report for Grace Wednesday, asking the public for help in locating him.
