
BROWN COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a report of a stolen pickup and asking the the public for help to find those involved.
Just after noon Friday, a white 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, Kansas License Plate, 262DIB, was taken from a field entrance near the intersection of 240th Street and Chickadee Street in rural
Brown County, according to Sheriff John Merchant.
Video surveillance indicated that the vehicle left the scene traveling eastbound to the intersection of 240th and Coyote, at a
high rate of speed.
After reviewing video evidence, it is believed an
additional vehicle was connected to the theft. The vehicle is
described as 4D sedan, silver/white in color, which was observed following the stolen vehicle seconds later.
The sheriff is asking for assistance from the public in identifying the subjects and or vehicle(s).
