Hubert E. Luke, 90, of Stanberry, MO passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at an Albany, MO hospital.
He was born on June 19, 1932, on the family farm in Clyde, Missouri the son of Alphonse G. and Regina C. (Untiedt) Luke.
On June 25, 1955, he married Beatrice Schwebach at the Immaculate Conception Basilica, Conception, MO. She survives of the home.
Hubert served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Raymond Sager Post #260 of Stanberry, MO. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Stanberry #4388 and St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Stanberry. He served on the MFA Board and the Stanberry RII School Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Luke; brothers, Roger and Arthur Luke and great granddaughters, Josephine and Kayli Luke
In addition to his wife, Bea, Hubert is survived by his children, Jim (Becky) Luke, Kenny (Sabrina) Luke, Rose (Curt) Ellis, David (Sharon) Luke, Rob (Amy) Luke, Randy (Sharon) Luke, and Donnie (Rita) Luke all of Stanberry, MO; daughter-in-law, Karen Luke; brothers, Louis Luke, Wathena, KS, Leo (Viola) Luke, Stanberry, MO and Alfred (Kate) Luke, Brighton, CO; sisters, Mary (Harry) Schieber, Maryville, MO, Christine (Jerry) Jones, Albuquerque, NM, and Joan Aebersold, Savannah, MO; sisters-in-law, Joan Luke, Stanberry, MO and Patty Luke, Platte City, MO; 28 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 9 step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Stanberry, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO. Burial with Military Rites will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Stanberry, MO. A Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Stanberry, MO followed by a family visitation until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
