Zayd Stephen Lawhon-Simmons, 11 months old, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
He was born June 15, 2023 in St. Joseph to Aaron Simmons and Katelyn Lawhon.
Zayd was the happiest little dude ever. He loved SpongeBob SquarePants, his dog and cats, and he loved to be heard, he would fake cough if you weren’t listening to him.
He also charmed the ladies, attracting a swarm wherever he went.
Though he was taken from us much too soon, he leaves behind many precious memories of his short, happy life.
Zayd was loved by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Moore; and great-uncle, Chris Lawhon.
Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Jennifer and James Nolan, Tammy Shaw, Scott Labrozzi, and Steve Simmons; great-grandparents, Janice Buol (Don), Tanya Moore, and Randy Simmons; aunts and uncles, Tyven Schwamp, Caden Croteau, Jordan Woolard (Stephen), Tyiese Santos, Charity Simmons, Brentlee Simmons, Michael Nolan, Dayton Drennen, Rylee Nolan, Stacy Hartley, and Lindsay Buol-Butler; numerous cousins and other extended family members; and his beloved pets, Marley, Cheeto, and Blue.
