Northwest Missouri State University’s School of Fine and Performing Arts will host the Kansas City Symphony Brass Quintet for a series of events Monday, March 30, in the Charles Johnson Theater at the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building.
The quintet will perform a public concert at 7:00 p.m. Earlier that day, the ensemble will lead master classes for brass musicians at 3:00 p.m. and chamber music at 4:00 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
“This promises to be a fantastic performance, and we hope the Maryville and campus community join us for this special event,” said Dr. William Richardson, a professor of music at Northwest.
The Kansas City Symphony is recognized as one of the top orchestras in the country, performing orchestral and chamber music while serving as the resident orchestra for the Kansas City Ballet and Lyric Opera of Kansas City.
The ensemble's visit is sponsored by the Missouri Arts Council.
