A 33-year-old St. Joseph man has pleaded guilty to second degree murder in a stabbing death in his apartment last year.
Buchanan County Prosecutor Ron Holliday reports Nicholas Piper entered a plea of guilty to murder in the second degree in the death of a 45-year-old James Tittsworth at 905 S. 14th Street April 26th of last year.
A St. Joseph police detective reported in the probable cause statement that Piper entered the apartment armed with two knives and stabbed Tittsworth in the chest several times. Tittsworth was taken to the Mosaic Life Care St. Joseph hospital where he was pronounced dead.
