The St. Joseph Mustangs looked playoff ready against the Clarinda A's on Saturday night, scoring a dominating 17-7 run rule victory in eight innings.

The Mustangs led 11-3 after the first three innings and scored one more run in the sixth.  After the A's scored four runs in the seventh, the Mustangs scored the final five runs in the eighth to walk off the win.

Leading the way hitting was Jordan Black who was 2 for 5 in the game with 5 RBIs, including hitting a three run home run in the five run final frame.  Catcher Dom Felix was 3 for 3 in the game, Darius Freeman was 2 for 3.

The Mustangs have already clinched a first round bye.  There will be one more game at Phil Welch Stadium on Sunday, a makeup game against the Sedalia Bombers.

The Mustangs and Sedalia were rained out on Tuesday, July 16th for their game in Sedalia. Due to field availability, the game has been moved to a rare Sunday game with a 3 pm start to Phil Welch Stadium in St. Joseph. Gates will open at 2pm.

Tickets for the game will be completely free- no box seats will be sold, as the Mustangs are reserving those seats for all season ticket holders.
