St. Joseph woman injured after van crash into trees

DEKALB COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 4a.m. Saturday in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Honda Odyssey driven by a 38-year-old St. Joseph woman was southbound on MO 31 at U.S. 35 four miles west of Stewartsville.   The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at U.S. 36. The van crossed the westbound and eastbound lanes of U.S. 36, continued off the south side of eastbound U.S. 36 and struck several trees.

DeKalb-Clinton Ambulance transported the driver to Mosaic in St. Joseph. She was properly restrained at the time of the crash, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
