DEKALB COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Saturday in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Toyota Tacoma driven by Peter D. Tran, 21, Kansas City, was northbound on MO 33 just south of U.S. 36 three miles west of Osborn. The Toyota was following a 2016 Ford F150 driven by Zane C. Venema, 21, Kansas City/
The Toyota attempted to pass the Ford. The passenger side of the Toyota struck the drivers side of the Ford as it was turning westbound into a field entrance.
DeKalb County EMS transported Tran to Liberty Hospital. Venema was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
