Dixie June McClellan, 91, Falls City, Nebraska, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024.
She was born September 16, 1932 in King City, Missouri to David and Cammie (Fry) Deaton.
Dixie married Charles Truman McClellan on October 5, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2002.
She owned and operated several restaurants, including The Tenderloin Restaurant in St. Joseph, and was a Kansas City Royals fan.
Dixie was a past member of First Christian Church and Woodson Chapel Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandchildren, Eric Church and Sarah Mozley; great-grandchild, Adryan Jones; and brother, Eldon Deaton.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Phillips (Carl) of Big Lake, MO, and Joyce Mozley (William) of Riverside, MO; stepdaughter, Sharon Hill (Phillip) of Diamond, MO; grandchildren, Christopher Phillips (Sherri), Big Lake, MO, Jessican Duncan (Jacob) of Lawson, MO, Danielle Gardner of Kansas City, MO, Candice Coit (Chris) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Megan Mozley of Kansas City, MO, and Ashley Lozano of Gregory, SD; great-grandchildren, Jake Duncan, Aaron Phillips, Audri Duncan, Houston Farris, Christian Farris, Kaelee Church, and Phoenix Argit; great-great-grandchild, Jake Duncan; brother, Keith Deaton of LaVista, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
