Ryan Michael Beard, 36, Maple Hill, Kansas, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, after a courageous battle with ALS surrounded by his loved ones in his home.
He was born on February 10, 1987, to Ronald D. and Janet J. (Young) Beard in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Ryan was a member of the Air Force/Missouri Air National Guard from 2004 to 2012. He proudly served during the Iraqi Freedom conflict in Kuwait and helped with the Hurricane Katrina relief while stationed at Gulf Port.
He worked in various management roles throughout his career, with Target being his most memorable role. However, his favorite job was being a dad to his beloved children.
Ryan enjoyed working with his hands, he especially loved cooking and was a master at the grill. He had a great love of football from playing during high school to following his fantasy football leagues, specifically the Dallas Cowboys. He loved watching movies and tv shows, with Big Bang Theory being one of his favorites.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Dianne Beard; maternal grandfather, Gerald Young; and uncle, Michael Beard.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica (Kidd) Beard; children, Chloe, Liberty, Nevaeh, Laney, Kamryn and Kingston; siblings, Danielle Carrillo (Max), David Beard, and Brianna Beard; parents, Ronald and Janet Beard; nephews, Joseph and Judah Carrillo; maternal grandmother, Shirley Young, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:00 A.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Private Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
