Yet again, Missouri Western State University will be searching for a new leader for one of it's athletics programs, after parting ways with baseball coach Damian Stambersky
Athletic Director Andy Carter made the announcement today about the decision.
"After our annual postseason evaluation of the program, we have decided to move in a different direction," Carter said in a release from the university. "I thank Damian for his hard work and dedication to Griffon baseball and wish the best to him and his family."
Stambersky, just the third head baseball coach in Missouri Western history, posted a 34-60 overall record in two seasons, going 22-47 in MIAA play. The Griffons went 14-33 (12-24 MIAA) in 2025.
A national search for the fourth head coach in Missouri Western baseball's 56-year existence will begin immediately.
