Carma Garvin, 89, formerly of St. Joseph, died April 2, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born in Lebenon, MO, to the late Ellis "Curly" and Frances Johnson.
Carma led a varied and exciting life which she shared with Dan Garvin, Sr. for nearly 60 years. Together they operated a successful insurance agency in the Southside of St. Joseph. They were instrumental is instituting the Southside Fall Festival which continues today.
Carma is survived by two sons, Dan and wife LuAnne Garvin, and Ed Garvin, three grandchildren, Claire, Patrick and wife Aubrey, and Ed Jr. and wife Kayla, four great grandchildren: Collin, Patrick, Kenneth, and Carma, brother, Bob Johnson and wife Sharon, Raytown, MO., and a sister, Martha Clegg of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carma will be cremated under the care of the Rupp Funeral Home, there are no scheduled services at this time.
