Margaret Ann (Pritchett) Lakin, passed away December 11, 2025 due to complications from a recent stroke. Margaret was born on April 27, 1937 to Clyde and Emoghine (Howard) Pritchett in St. Joseph, MO. Margaret was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph graduating from Benton High School in 1955. She married Clarence Dale Lakin on August 30, 1957 sharing 51 years together. From this marriage, Dale and Margaret had three children, Vicki, Lisa and Mike.
Margaret worked at several jobs throughout her career. The longest, and the one she retired from, was American Family Insurance where she had 23 years of service. Margaret enjoyed her friends and family throughout the years, often getting together laughing, telling stories and playing cards and board games. She also loved reading, playing her hand held video games and her Saturday lunches and shopping with the girls.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, and three sisters, Myrtle, Clyda and Norma. Survivors include her daughters Vicki (BJ) Rosmolen and Lisa (Robbie) McCrary. Siblings Buck (Linda) Pritchett and Mary Ellen (Freddy) Clary and a sister-in-law Faye Edmonds. Her five grandchildren, Tyler (Metchel) Rosmolen, Ashlee White, Malyssa (Josh) Garner, Baleigh (Josh) Carrithers and Matt Lakin. She was also blessed with nine Great-Grandchildren, Kylie and Dale Rosmolen, Ava and Tommy White, Karsen Garner, Presleigh and Jaxen Carrithers and Landon and Leon Matthews.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 16, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
