NODAWAY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Friday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Ford Taurus driven by Curtis E. Jones, 64, Tarkio, was eastbound on U.S. 36 three miles east of Burlington Junction.
The Ford rear-ended a 2022 Kia Telluride driven by Jon F. Garrigan, 62, Council Bluffs, Iowa, that abruptly slowed to yield to a stopped unloading school bus.
After the crash, a 2014 Ford Mustang driven by a 17-year-old Brownville, Nebraska girl rear-ended the Ford Taurus.
Nodaway County EMS transported the teen to Mosaic in Maryville. Garrigan and Jones were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
