Larry Lee Owens, 80, of Leavenworth, KS, passed away on January 13, 2026, at Research Medical Center.
Larry was born in Independence, MO, on April 25, 1945, to John and Zelphia Owens. He attended Leavenworth High School before serving in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1965. He later earned a degree from Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA.
Larry enjoyed a successful career in sales, driven by his genuine interest in helping others and his remarkable ability to connect with people. His personal interests included fishing, golf, music, and dancing. Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Diane Robker-Owens; his brothers, John (Cindy) Owens and Gerald Owens; and his children, Shaun (Vanessa) Owens, Jennifer Owens-Davis, and Ian (Mary Anne) Owens. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sydney, Peyton, Tristan, Dylan, Bryson, Adrian Jr., and Marnie Davis, as well as his great-grandchildren, Lucy, Layla, Langston, and Miles. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, John andZelphia; his brother, Ralph; and his sister-in-law, Margaret.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 23rd, at 11:00 AM at Davis Funeral Chapel. A luncheon will follow immediately at the Heritage Center in Downtown Leavenworth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leavenworth Council on Aging.
