Benedictine College of Atchison has wrapped up construction of the new Moritz Library, modeled after Philadelphia's Independence Hall.

The library is complete with a reproduction of the Assembly room, where the Declaration of Independence, and later the U.S. Constitution, were drafted and signed.

July 4th, from 9 AM to noon, the library will host that history: revolutionary era re-enactors portraying George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, and Betsy Ross. A re-enactor of Abraham Lincoln, who spoke at Independence Hall in 1861, will also give a historic speech.

Attendees can also receive a replica of Moritz Library, a pocket U.S. Constitution, and a miniature Betsy Ross flag.
