Three more COVID-related deaths in Buchanan County, Mosaic sees a drop in patients

St. Joseph Health officials report three more COVID-19 related deaths in Buchanan County. The victims were a woman in her 80s and two men - one in his 50s and another in his 70s.

There have now been 149 COVID-related deaths in Buchanan County since the pandemic began. There were also 36 more cases reported Friday for a county total of 9,255.

Andrew County reports 12 new cases (1,840 total) and one new death for a total of 17 since the pandemic began.

Nodaway County reports 17 new cases (2,457) Friday.

Mosaic Life Care hospitalizations have dropped. They're now treating 51 patients in their system - down from the 59 reported Thursday. Forty-six patients are in St. Joseph, three are in Maryville and two in Albany.

Statewide, Missouri reports 2,231 new cases (434,188 total) and 28 more deaths (6,229).

Kansas reports an increase of 4,093 cases (256,134) since Wednesday with 167 new deaths (3,502) since Wednesday as well.

Doniphan County, KS reports 17 new cases (836 total), while Brown (1,140 total) and Atchison (1,356 total) both saw 12 new cases reported Friday.
