ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 10a.m. Tuesday in Atchison.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, a Chevy pickup driven by Steven Metcalf, 65, Atchison was northbound in the 400 Block of U.S. 73.
The pickup was turning east into a business parking lot and struck a southbound bicycle ridden by Marie Moore, 60, Atchison, who was riding on the trail/sidewalk that runs parallel to U.S.73 on the east side of the highway.
EMS transported Moore to Amberwell Hospital for examination. Police released no additional details.
