The St. Joseph Kiwanis Club is again partnering with the Ali Kemp Foundation and the St. Joseph YWCA to offer the 12th annual TAKE Defense Training Course to local women.
The course provides effective self-defense strategies and techniques and is open to women in the region 12 and older. TAKE Defense was founded by the Kemp family in the wake of their daughter’s horrific death while working at a pool in their hometown. In keeping with the Ali Kemp Foundation’s goal of providing free training, there is no charge to attend TAKE Defense.
The event will be held on Saturday, October 31st at 10am at the Genesis Health Club in St. Joseph. You can register for the event by clicking HERE. Event t-shirts and totes can be purchased for a donation through October 19th.
