Carroll Bush 87, of rural St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025 at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, KS. He was born October 2, 1937 in St. Joseph, son of Marie and Emerson Bush.
He attended Bethel Grade School, and graduated from Benton High School, class of 1955. Carroll spent his entire life living on the farm, where he was the 3rd generation owner/operator of Bush's Orchard retiring in 1992. He served as a longtime member of the Missouri State Horticultural Society. He enjoyed working with and restoring tractor. Carroll always found a way to stay busy, usually taking care of his home or spending time in the shop. He enjoyed surrounding himself with friends and family, and will be remembered for his sweet tooth.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, step-daughter, Terri Davis, brother and sister-in-law, Robert &/Betty Bush, and brother-in-law, Robert Goosman.
Survivors include: former wife, Janet Lindeman, sons, Mike (Brandy) Bush of St. Joseph and Bruce Bush of Coweta, OK, twin sister, Helen Goosman of Ft. Gibson, OK, grandchildren, Cydney (Cole) Deshler, Collin Bush (Katie Layton), Jackson Bush, Bradlee Davis, and Krystalyn (Brett) Coy, great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Wesley Deshler, and several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Mr. Bush has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of his Life will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m on Saturday at the Rupp Funeral Home, Reverend Pat Sampson, officiating.
