The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates will be searching for a new head coach after Joe McKinstry announced his departure from the program after one season.
McKinstry guided the Lady Pirates to an outstanding 24-8 record during the 2025–26 campaign, culminating in a runner-up finish in the Region 16 tournament.
“We would like to thank Joe and his family for making NCMC their home this past season,” said Athletic Director Nate Gamet in a news release. “He did a tremendous job continuing the tradition of excellence for our women’s basketball program and we wish him the best of luck in his new adventure.”
A national search for the next head women’s basketball coach will begin immediately.
