Sheriff: Kansas man accused of littering was transporting meth

JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.

 On Friday, April 7, 2023, a sheriff’s deputy stopped an Infiniti passenger car near the K-16/ K116 Junction east of Holton for allegedly littering, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

During the stop the deputy located what he believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. 

The deputy arrested the driver of the vehicle, Jermey Allen Thomason, 36, of Atchison, on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
