Janice Marie DeGisi (née Clark), 99, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Atchison, Kansas, passed from this world on March 31, 2026. The dearly loved mother of Tom (Jane) of Overland Park, Kansas, and Joe (Liza Hart) of Smithers, British Columbia, Jan was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sabino "Sam" DeGisi, daughters Jane Anne and Luz Elena, and grandsons Phillip and Joseph.
Jan was involved in her community through Cure of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood, Kansas and literacy work in the Kansas City area including teaching and tutoring English as a Second Language.
Jan is also survived by her grandchildren Mariah and Lydia of Overland Park; Talia (Hunter) Hatfield of Tampa, Florida; Catherine of Smithers, British Columbia; Matthias of Victoria, British Columbia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday April 4th at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Atchison. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
