Lloyd G. "Pat" Nunn, 96, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on February 26th, 2026.
Pat was born on March 17th, 1929 in Davis City, Iowa to the late Virgil and Frances Nunn. Lloyd graduated from Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, Missouri. Following graduation Lloyd joined the United States Air Force. And also was united in marriage to Laura Rose (Wallace). The couple celebrated 74 years of marriage. To this union the couple welcomed three daughters Patricia, Helen, and Kathy. Pat and Laura Rose raised their family in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Following his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, after serving in the Korean War, Pat joined the St. Joseph Police Department. Where he served the St. Joseph community for 38 dedicated years until his retirement in 1990. Pat worked all levels within the police department though his career.
Outside of his career Pat was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He also enjoyed being an avid pilot, outdoorsman, making memories with his family and friends, these memories were enriched with Pat's joking humor and storytelling.
Pat was a dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Masonic Temple, and Moila Shriners.
Preceding Pat in death by his parents, his wife Laura Rose Nunn, and his daughter, Kathy Nunn.
Pat is survived by his two daughters, Patricia (Reed) Klein of Conroe, TX; Helen (Cliff) Means of Platte City, MO; two grandchildren, Eric (Paula) Means of Greenville SC; and Laura Means of Parkville, MO; two great grandchildren, Amelia Rose Means and Georgia Ann Means, both of St. Louis, Missouri.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour to the service. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery to follow the service.
In lieu of floral arrangements memorial donations are suggested to be directed to the Moila Shriners of St. Joseph, an organization that was dear to Pat's heart.
