Former Missouri Western State University football player Grant Finley has become another pro Griffon, signing with the New York Giants, shifting from defense to offense.

Finley spent four seasons at MoWest, where he primarliy played on the defensive line, but did spend some time at fullback, where he will play for the Giants.  Finley was third-team All-MIAA in 2024 after starting all 11 games and totaling 29 tackles, 9.5 for loss, and a team-high five sacks to go with one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and a pass breakup.  He followed that up this past season with 21 combined tackles, nine solo and six for loss, with two sacks, one fumble recovery and five pass breakups, in addition to one blocked kick on special teams, earning second-team All-MIAA honors.

In his career at MoWest rushing, Finley tallied one touchdown, in his freshman season, running three times for two yards.  Finley measured in at 6-foot-4, 281 pounds at the MoWest Pro Day, where he worked out at both defensive tackle and fullback. He ran a 4.88 40-yard dash with a 32.5-inch vertical and a 9-feet, 11-inch broad jump.  Finley participated in the Giants' rookie minicamp back in May.
