Few new COVID cases in Buchanan County Thursday, hospitalizations up slightly

It's another day of low COVID-19 numbers in Buchanan County.

St. Joseph Health officials report just six new cases of COVID Thursday, putting the county's case total at 9,903.

There have been 157 virus-related fatalities in Buchanan County since the pandemic began, but none yet this week.

Hospitalizations went up slightly. Mosaic Life Care reports 18 COVID-19 patients in its system - that's up four since Wednesday. All of these patients are being treated in St. Joseph.

Andrew County reports two new cases for a total of 1,955. They've also had 20 COVID-related fatalities.

Statewide, Missouri reports an additional 1,034 cases (469,233 total) Thursday and 7,431 total deaths.

Kansas reports 284,984 total cases and 4,303 fatalities. Doniphan County reports 920 total cases.
