BROWN COUNTY—Five people were injured in an accident just before 5:30a.m. Tuesday in Brown County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Chevy Silverado driven by Timothy Pahmahmie, 44, Horton, was westbound on 100th Road one mile west of U.S. 169.
The pickup struck a southbound 2005 Chevy Tahoe driven by Brandon Michael Wingender, 27, Everest, Kansas, at King Fisher Road.
EMS transported Pahmahmie and Wingender to the hospital in Atchison. EMS transported a passengers in the Silverado identified as Roberta Hanchor, 42, Owyhee, Nevada to Stormont Vail in Topeka and Adrian Darnell, 31, Horton, to Hiawatha Community Hospital. EMS transported a passenger in the SUV Brenda Lynn Middleton, 21, Horton, to KU Medical Center.
Pahmahmie, Hanchor, Wingender and Middleton were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
