Robert J. “Bobby” Lorenz, 76, of St. Joseph, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2024 at a local hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born on May 13, 1947 to Robert F. and Kathryn (Webb) Lorenz, of St. Joseph, MO. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war.
He spent his career as a driver for various truck lines until his retirement from ABF Freight. And was a standout musician, best known for playing the drums in the Barbosa Brothers Band.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Carol White; and brother-in-law, Bob White.
Robert is survived by his brother, Laurence Lorenz; Nephew, Shawn (Kristi) Lorenz; Niece, Dana Lorenz; Great Niece, Brooklyn Lorenz; His beloved Debbie and Son, Devin Anderson.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2024 at the Heaton~Bowman~Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
A Private Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery will be held at a later date.
