Missouri Western State University hopes to convince prospective students to enroll at the school with a full immersion on the St. Joseph campus.
The Griffon Experience will be held Saturday, October 21st.
Missouri Western President Elizabeth Kennedy says the university invites students and their families to campus so they can talk directly with professors, hear from Missouri Western students, and tour the campus. A student resource fair also will be available.
“Students not only in addition to the academics, they can see, well what kind of student organizations do you have? What kind of support will I get if I need tutoring? How would I join a particular honor society? Or, how would I get involved with student government?” Kennedy tells host Barry Birr on the KFEQ Hotline.
Kennedy says the Griffon Experience has one goal: to convince high school students to enroll.
“It’s like inviting people to your house for an open house and you say, ‘Look at how great we are. Look at all these wonderful things going on. Don’t you want to come and be a Griffon?’”
Check-in for the Griffon Experience begins at 9:30am on the 21st at Agenstein-Remington Hall.
