Kathleen D. “Kathy” Gabler, 65, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born March 6, 1960 to Robert H. and Donna R. (Reed) Davis in Maryville, Missouri.

Kathy graduated from Savannah High School in 1978 and found love early, marrying the love of her life, Gregory A. Gabler, on July 28, 1979. They were soon blessed with three children, Mike, Krystal and Josh.

Kathy started her professional journey at Heartland Regional Medical Center as an executive assistant and later elevated her vocation to serve as a Clinic Manager for Mosaic Life Care Cancer Center. However, life had its plans, and in 2007 Kathy faced her own battle with cancer. With a prognosis that cast doubt on her future, she faced the challenge with courage and grace. Undeterred, Kathy overcame the odds and enjoyed an 18-year triumph over the disease. It was during these years that she embraced her role as a grandmother, cherishing every moment she had to witness her family expand and flourish.

In her later years, Kathy's career was spent at the Ashland United Methodist Church Mother's Day Out, where her nurturing spirit and warm presence were a comfort to many.

Kathy found joy in camping. However, her heart's greatest delight was her grandchildren, with whom she established a bond of pure joy and love.

The Gabler family holds profound gratitude for Mosaic Cancer Center, Dr. AJ, and the dedicated medical team that stood by Kathy's side.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Davis; father-in-law, Ken Gabler; and special nephew, Tim Davis.

Survivors include her husband, Greg; children, Mike Gabler (Lacey), Krystal Lisenbee (Aaron) and Josh Gabler (Tara); grandchildren, Kalyn Blanton, Duncan and Davis Lisenbee, Landyn, Avery and Parker Gabler; siblings, Robert Davis (Connie), Verona Thomas, Rick Davis (Penny) and Sandra George (Shawn); mother-in-law, Helen Gabler; sisters-in-law, Lisa Kent (Scott) and Susan Alexander (Scott); numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, November 16, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
