MERCER COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 10p.m. Thursday in Mercer County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Mercedes CL2 driven by a 19-year-old Kirksville woman was southbound on High Street just south of U.S. 65 in Princeton. The driver ran a stop sign. The vehicle traveled off the east side of the road, struck a large piece of concrete in the ditch, started sliding counterclockwise, struck another ditch, rolled and the driver was ejected. The vehicle continued over Elm Street, traveled off the south side of Elm Street and struck another embankment.
Mercer County EMS transported the driver to Liberty Hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
