Ruth E. VanSchoiack, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away surrounded by family, on December 13, 2025 at her home in Savannah, MO. She was born on March 6, 1941 to Donald and Ola (Sybert) June. She married Manny VanSchoiack on November 21, 1959 and they just celebrated 66 years of marriage, and he survives of the home.
Ruth was a graduate of North Andrew High School in the Class of 1959. She worked for the Savannah School District and after her retirement from there, she worked at the First Baptist Church in Savannah. She loved her family and animals, especially cats. She also loved working in her flowers, collecting antiques, camping and reading.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Manny, and their three children: Kelly (John) Uehlin, Doug VanSchoiack and Travis (Jane) VanSchoiack; grandchildren: Kasey (Jarrod) Strasser, Kylee (Steven) Lingholm, Kyler (Crystal) VanSchoiack and Blake Burson; great-grandchildren: Nash, Knox, Indy, Atley, Mack and Liam; sisters: Sandra (Jo) Wilson and Nila Wageman: several nieces and nephews along with two special nieces Jodi Mazur and Gara Howard.
A visitation with family receiving hours will be held from 10:00am - 12:00pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, Missouri. Funeral service will be 12:00pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Private burial will follow the funeral service at the Savannah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph at 701 Lower Lake Road St. Joseph, MO
