Kenneth Lee Plummer was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on December 7, 1953. He was one of five children of Kenneth D. and Mary F. (Hayzlett) Plummer. Kenneth grew up in Forest City, Missouri and lived there most of his life. He attended school at South Holt, graduating in 1972.
Following graduation, Kenneth attended technical school for diesel and automotive mechanics. He later received a degree in computer repairs. Kenneth was self-employed as an HVAC and appliance repair technician for many years. He had also worked at Gordon Quarries.
On September 12, 1974 he married Alice Gardner in Craig, Missouri. They became parents of two children.
Kenneth loved cooking, gardening, hunting, and fishing with his grandsons. He also loved hanging out with his dog, Buddy, and watching westerns and game shows. Kenneth was a member of the Forest City Christian Church and had served on the Forest City Cemetery Board.
Kenneth passed away at an Oregon healthcare facility on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Karrilu Plummer; and brother-in-law, Edwin Adams.
Survivors include his wife Alice, of the Forest City home; son Brian (Kelly) Plummer, Forest City; daughter Mary L. Plummer, Independence, Missouri; grandsons, Casey Plummer, Jordan Plummer, and Andy Plummer; granddaughter, Jlee Clark; great grandson, Quilliam Lee Meyer; brother, Charles Plummer; sisters, Carla Adams, Allison (Loyd) Russell, Forest City; LaDeanna (Tom) Hays, King City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Raymond Quimby, Tarkio, Missouri; and aunts Mavis Mackey and Pauline Kurtz.
