Nodaway Co. man hospitalized after violent rollover crash

NODAWAY COUNTY—A Missouri man was injured in an accident just before 11p.m. Friday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Michael A. Poppa, 29, Hopkins, was eastbound on Route NN just west of Route E seven miles northwest of Parnell.

The driver lost control of the car. It crossed the center of the road, began to skid, traveled off the north side of the road, went airborne and struck  Route E with the undercarriage. The car ehen crossed the center of the road, traveled off the east side of the road, struck the ground with the right front fender and rolled.

Nodaway County Ambulance transported Poppa to Mosaic in Maryville. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
