Michael L. Black Sr., 73, of Rushville MO, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home.
Mike was born November 27, 1952 in St Joseph, MO, son of Helen Black-Wynkoop. He married Judy West on July 2, 1970, and they shared 55 years of marriage. They enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, and riding his Harley. He worked in the farming industry for a majority of his life as well as various trucking companies. He was also a member of Missouri Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkid’s and his great grandkids.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Helen; in-laws, Rob and Mary West; 2 brothers, Martin and Tommy; and 1 sister, Kay Davenport.
Survivors include: his wife, Judy; a son, Michael (Cheryl) Black Jr., a daughter, Jodi Black; 2 brothers, Dick (Sharon) Black, Terry (Dian) Black; 5 sisters, Nancy Browning, Pat (Art) Brant, Connie Kiefer, Sharon (Kenny) Fitkin, and Helen McElfresh, brother-in-law, Bob (Sherry) West; 2 grandsons, Kyle (Haley) and Cody; 3 granddaughters, Payden (Trevor), Averi (Kyle), and Emmalee; and 4 great-grandchildren, Lacy, Sydney, Vander, and Marilyn; close family friend, Marti Marshall; well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral services planned per his request. A special thank you to Three Oaks Hospice for taking care of Mike.
