ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a church break-in.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, there was unlawful entry made into the Trinity Episcopal Church in the 300 block South 5th Street that occurred sometime between 5:30p.m. on Wednesday and 4:00a.m. on Thursday.
Although nothing was taken a safe was damaged from an attempt to open it. Police released no additional details.
