ATCHISON COUNTY, Kan. —One person was injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Friday in Atchison.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, a 2010 Lincoln MKZ driven by Maria Rioux, 61, Cummings, was southbound on 4th Street and when approaching U.S.59 rear-ended a stopped 2023 GMC SUV driven by Karen Pierce, 66, Faucett Missouri.
The impact pushed the SUV into a stopped 2011 Nissan Altima driven by Jessica Kerr, 35, Atchison.
EMS transported Riou to Amberwell Hospital. There were no other injuries, according to Wilson.
