Maureen Greub, age 59, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 11th, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on July 6th, 1966, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She attended Helen Davis State School in St. Joseph and graduated from Maple Woods College in Kansas City, Missouri.

Maureen was known for her warm hugs and kisses, her love of dancing and singing, and the joy she brought to family gatherings. She especially loved leading prayer at family events and delighted everyone by singing "Edelweiss" from The Sound of Music, one of her favorite movies. Through her kindness and enthusiasm for life, Maureen taught those around her the meaning of unconditional love and the beauty of finding happiness in life's little moments.

Maureen proudly participated in Special Olympics for many years, something she loved deeply. With a remarkable spirit of determination and joy, she was especially proud of competitions and friendships that became such an important part of her life. She was especially proud of the many medals she earned over the years - more than seventy-five in all - which she treasured. For many years, Maureen was a dedicated employee at the Manor Thrift Shop in Liberty, Missouri, where she became a cherished member of the thrift shop community. Her radiant smile lifted the spirits of her coworkers and customers alike. Maureen lived for forty-two years at the Empress House on the Life Unlimited campus, where she formed many friendships and was surrounded by a caring and supportive community.

She was the beloved daughter of Walter Greub and Imogene (Gregory) Greub Mazur. She was preceded in death by her  father, Walter Greub; her stepfather, Joe Mazur; and her brother, Steven Greub. Maureen is survived by her loving siblings: Gregory Greub, Margaret Rice (Brycen); Philip Greub; Marilyn Park (Jaye); Madeline Meyer (Jeff); and Charles Greub, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Maureen's life was a reminder that joy, kindness, and love are among life's greatest gifts. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. We take comfort in knowing that Maureen's joyful spirit continues in the presence of the Lord she loved.

Services for Maureen will be held on Monday, March, 16th, 2026 at Cathedral of St. Joseph located at 519 N 10th Street, St. Joseph, Missouri 64501. Services will begin with a Visitation starting at 9:30 AM, Rosary at 10:00 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
