Shannon Lee Chandler, 77 of Fillmore, MO passed away at his home on August 2, 2024. Shannon was born on November 7, 1946 in St Joseph, MO to Noah & Thelma (Brewer) Chandler. He graduated from Fillmore High School in 1964. He married Loura Hiney in St. Joseph, MO on February 5, 1971 and she survives of the home.
Shannon worked many years for St Joe Fuel and Oil, while running the family farm, and most recently for CP Mining. Shannon enjoyed running a dozer, planting his garden and tinkering in his shed. He had many passions including farming, hunting, fishing and enjoying the hunting cabin with his friends. Shannon was proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He and his wife enjoyed traveling to Branson for family vacations and Texas for a few months in the winter.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; daughters, Heather (David) Roberts of Fillmore and Teri (Darryl) Howard of Rosendale, and beloved dog, Libby; grandchildren, Courtney (Justin) Moore, Sammy Joe Howard, Joel (Gailynn) Roberts, and Atheah (Brayton) Erickson; great grandchildren, Adi Crist, Liam and Finley Moore, Chandler and Kohen Roberts, and one on the way. Brother and sister in laws, extended family, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his great grandson Porter Moore.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be 5:00 pm-7:00 pm Tuesday August 6, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday August 7, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fillmore Cemetery.
