Coming next month free improv classes will be offered in St. Joseph through the Performing Arts Association.

Executive Director Paul Storiale says since he arrived in St. Joe, he's wanted to start these classes for what he calls a fascinating artform.

"Improv is a part of the arts that also invites people who aren’t involved in the arts at all,” Storiale explains to KFEQ Hotline host Barry Birr. “And so, I wanted to make sure that people had the opportunity to take a class, so we made them free, and they’re coming up here soon starting on September 9th.”

Improv classes will be offered for free to teens and adults every other Monday.

Storiale says doing improv can also help in other parts of your life

"Well, it certainly strengthens your communication skills, and so if you’re really bad at giving a speech, you’re going to start being really good at giving a speech,” Storiale says. “You know we get in the way of ourselves, and when you just don’t care anymore and you just do the doing, you’re going to get it.”

There is limited space available in the classes. For more information you can click HERE.
