Marilynn McEvoy, 63, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024.
She was born on January 1, 1961, to John R. and Mary N. (Shull) Adkins in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Marilynn married John C. McEvoy on August 31, 1989, and they shared 34 years together before John passed away on January 19, 2024.
She worked as a psych aide for Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Hospital and also at Bliss Manor.
Marilynn enjoyed getting friends and family together at their house for food and entertainment. She and John hosted BBQ’s and would happily feed the people who stopped by.
Her family was the most important part of her life, and her love for them will continue to live on through her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. McEvoy, her parents, and brother, Dick Adkins.
Survivors include her children, Amanda Brock (Mike) and Navada M. McEvoy; grandchildren, Raven Brock, Legend Smith, Killian Smith, Harley Brock and Harper Brock; siblings, Mary Jane Caples (Robert), Marsha Dreher (Ric), Barbara Cotton (David), James Adkins (Elizabeth) and Juanita Clouse, and many nieces and nephews.
