In an ongoing attempt to get a better understanding on data centers and the effects they have on communities, as well as potential benefits, the St. Joseph City Council is heading to Iowa.
Six City Council members requested a work session and will travel to Altoona, Iowa for a work session today. City Manager Mike Schumacher will be making the trip, but it is unknown how many members of the St. Joseph City Council will be traveling. Altoona is home to multiple data centers, providing a sample size for City Council members to study.
