Joseph Anthony Malicke, 78, of Mooney Creek, KS, died on Sunday, Nov. 30th, 2025, at the Midland Care Center, Topeka, KS.

Joseph was born on Dec. 30th, 1946, in Leavenworth, KS, the son of Casmer A. and Bernice C. (Schrick) Malicke. He graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1964. Mr. Malicke owned and operated Country Corvettes, Inc, later Northern Star Manufacturing, in Nortonville, KS from 1978 to 2023. He was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church and served on the Parish Council. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Winchester-Nortonville, and a member of the National Corvette Restorers Society. He authored numerous articles in corvette restoration magazines. He also enjoyed restoring his farmhouse, gardening, and farming.

He was married to Mary Linda Kramer on February 20, 1971, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on Sept. 1, 2006. Survivors include two sons Dustin and Jared Malicke, both of Houston, TX, a daughter April Malicke, Topeka, KS, two grandsons Sheldon and Jack, and one great grandson Ronin and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Whifield, Osage Beach, MO. His parents, and a sister Charlotte Whifield, preceded him in death.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, Dec. 6th, 2025, at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, in the Mooney Creek Community with Fr Willam Dun-Dery as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Corpus Christi Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM on Friday, Dec. 5th, 2025, at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Corpus Christ Catholic Church and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton & O’Trimble Funeral Home, who is entrusted with the arrangements.
