A 24-year-old St. Joseph has been taken into custody after leaving the scene of a crash on Interstate 229 in St. Joseph and fleeing from officers.
St. Joseph police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the pursuit began late Friday evening and ended early Saturday morning with the arrest of Malone Hendrix.
The patrol says Hendrix was driving the wrong way on I-229 when he crashed near Highland Avenue. St. Joseph police spotted Hendrix coming out of the woods near St. Jo Frontier Casino. Hendrix faces a number of charges, including resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident, and speeding.
