ATCHISON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Saturday in Atchison.
A 2016 GMC Yukon driven by Bailee White, 23, Atchison, was southbound on 7th Street at Commercial Street in Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
The SUV struck a pedestrian, Jill Heffley, 47, Atchison, as she was walking in the crosswalk on the south side of the intersection.
EMS transported Heffley to Amberwell Hospital for treatment of injuries. Bailee White was cited with failure to yield at a pedestrian crosswalk.
