Alice Ann Morgan passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023, in her home in Savannah MO, surrounded by family and friends. Alice was born to Horace and Jenny Perry on January 12, 1936 in Andrew County, MO. She moved to Denver Colorado and married Charles Perry Morgan on August 29, 1957.
Alice spent the early years in Denver as a devoted wife and mother, raising three children and fostering countless others. She was involved in church, boy scouts and campfire girls, home room mom, Sunday school teacher and eventually a grandmother and Great Grandmother. In 1989 Charles retired, and they were able to fulfill their dream to travel. A few years ago she traveled to Antarctica, completing her wish to “walk on every continent.” They remained full-time RVer’s for many years, traveling throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. They eventually moved to Savannah, and continued traveling, often working as campground hosts and volunteering along the way.
Survivors include her husband Charles Morgan, Children Rebecca and Perry, Grandchildren Halley, Kaleb, Ariel, Brandon and Chloe, Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Joy Morgan Wardlow and sister Marth Burks. In leu of flowers, donations can be made to the Savannah Senior Center in her name.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. MO. Inurnment will be in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO.
